Last week it was confirmed that GTA 5 Online would be getting its long-awaited casino DLC update.

Ever since GTA 5 launched almost six years ago a casino has stood in Vinewood which players were promised was “opening soon”.

But for years nothing changed at the casino, with it looking unlikely if it would ever open in GTA 5.

However, after the release of a recent GTA 5 Online update the “opening soon” banner was removed and cones were put out in front of the casino’s entrance.

It led to speculation that the GTA 5 casino could at last be opening, possibly the last major patch before Rockstar focuses work on GTA 6.

And now last week it was confirmed that the GTA casino is coming soon.

The Rockstar Games Twitter posted: “Opening soon: A luxury casino in the heart of Vinewood.”

All that was shown alongside this tweet was a short video that revealed a logo for the upcoming GTA Online casino DLC.

The tweet confirming the incoming arrival of the GTA casino update was posted on Thursday June 13 at 7pm BST.

It has not yet been confirmed when the GTA casino patch will be launching.

But it was previously rumoured that the GTA 5 Online update would arrive in late June or early July.

Rockstar hasn’t revealed their GTA casino plans yet, but judging by how they have handled updates in the past we shouldn’t have too long to wait.

It would make sense for Rockstar to reveal some of the new GTA 5 Online DLC details before it goes live on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

And in the poll the date which has received the highest votes so far is June 27.

It’s believed once the GTA casino update lands it could include horse racing for the first time in GTA 5 Online.

According to prominent GTA YouTube content creator MrBossFTW, the casino will have its very own horse racing track out the back.

It’s speculated that players will be able to bet on horse racing and potentially even ride the horses.
